This article provides a resolution to fix the issue below:

When copying and pasting links/URLs in the comments within the activity streams, the Rich Text Editor (RTE) box freezes.

 

Information

Environment

• Jive HOP 9.0.2.1

Reproduction Steps

1. Copy any text with the link/URL.
2. Log into Jive.
3. Navigate to the News page.
4. Click on the 'Comment' link within any stream activity.
5. Paste the text.

Actual Behavior

RTE freezes and it can no longer edit the comments.

Expected Behavior

Edit comments as desired and eventually save it to confirm.

 

Process

Upgrade to Jive HOP 9.0.7 or later.
