Users Don't See The Option To Insert Video In Published Content

Overview

When trying to edit already published content, some or all users in your Jive community don't see the option to insert (embed) a video despite having the correct permissions set for their user account.

Information

This problem was triggered by the incorrect implementation of the system property jive.usercontainer.video.enabled. This system property determines whether or not standalone videos are enabled in the user's Personal Space and should not have affected the users' ability to insert or embed Videos in published content items.

This issue was identified as a bug and resolved in Jive Cloud release 3006.6 with the issue key JVCLD-114881 (release notes on Worx). While the Cloud upgrades are automatically deployed, if you haven't yet been upgraded or have chosen to stay on an earlier version and now would like to upgrade, please get in touch with your Account Manager/Executive to arrange for the upgrade.

Testing

After the upgrade, all the users should be able to insert videos into the published content if they have sufficient permissions.
