Overview

Users are not able to create spaces from the Create menu but can create sub-spaces by going to Actions within a current space. This means that no high-level spaces can be created, only sub-spaces.

This article provides information on how to address this issue.

Environment

Resolution

Recheck the Space, System Administration, and Overrides permissions. All should allow the authorized users to be able to create spaces.

Navigate to the following locations to check and update (if necessary) the permission settings:

• For the System Administration permissions: Go to Admin Console > Permissions > System Administration. 
• For the Space permissions: Go to Admin Console > Permissions > Space Permissions.
• For the Overrides: If necessary, remove and re-add the Overrides to refresh these permissions. Go to Admin Console > Permissions > System Administration > User Overrides.
