Your On-Prem server may not be able to reach license.jivesbs.com to upload a license file.

In older versions of Jive (e.g. Jive 5.0), the Jive instance would periodically communicate with a server at "licenses.jivesbs.com" to validate the license. This process has been retired, and the above server was shut down in 2020.

Solution

If you are running into this issue, then you need to upgrade to a newer supported version of Jive.
