Jive Status Points Calculation and Settings Reversion Issues

Overview

If you are using the Jive Status Points rewards system, you may encounter an issue where the points calculation does not reflect the changes you made in the settings. For instance, if you change the points value for creating a document from 5 to 1, the system may still calculate and award points based on the old value. Additionally, you may notice that the changed setting reverts back to the original value, leading to speculation about a possible automation resetting the settings to default. This issue can cause confusion and inconsistency in the points allocation process.

Solution

If you are experiencing this issue, you can resolve it by following these steps:

  1. Go to the admin console of your Jive account.
  2. Navigate to the Status Points settings.
  3. Change the points value for the action you want (e.g., "Create a document") to the desired value.
  4. Save the changes.
  5. Wait for a day and then check if the changes persist.
  6. Test the changes by performing the action (e.g., creating a document) and verify the points allocation.
