The affected environment is Jive Interactive Intranet - Jive Core.

This is expected behavior as Jive uses the Apache Validator and only accepts domains which are listed in this TLD (Top Level Domains) file.

This authoritative list of all the TLDs is maintained by IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) and Jive cannot modify nor impact it in any way.
