Outbound Mail Whitelisting Configuration for Jive Hosted Instances

Overview

This article lists the IP addresses to be whitelisted to enhance the deliverability of outbound emails generated from a Jive Hosted instance. The steps here apply to customers in both US and EU regions.

Information

  1. To enhance the deliverability of email generated from an instance and spam filter configuring, whitelisting the following IPs on the corporate relay(s) is recommended:
    • spf.jivesoftware.com - multiple IPs, we recommend whitelisting the domain
    • Split relay IPs
      • 3.232.179.211
      • 52.200.229.192
      • 52.49.188.207
      • 18.202.90.140
      • 54.205.167.161
      • 54.211.112.25
      • 54.77.14.22
      • 108.129.22.113
  2. Also, create an SPF record with the following content in the domain that is being used for the hosted instance if you are using your own mail server to send outbound emails:

    v=spf1 ip4:3.232.179.211 ip4:52.200.229.192 ip4:52.49.188.207 ip4:18.202.90.140 ip4:54.205.167.161 ip4:54.211.112.25 ip4:54.77.14.22 ip4:108.129.22.113 include:sendgrid.net include:spf.jivesoftware.com -all

    For any user that wants an email associated with their user record but does not want to receive emails, have them set their email domain to @nomail.com.  This domain is automatically dropped on the outbound relays.
