Why Did We Stop Receiving Emails from Jive for a Short Time?

Sometimes you may find that you are not receiving any email messages from Jive as expected, but then delivery resumes as normal a short time later. This article will help you diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve this issue.

 

Diagnosis

Your users reported a complete loss of email functionality for a short period of time.

 

Solution

Identifying the root cause of this issue can take time. Below are some steps to take towards resolution:

  1. Check if any related outage was reported on the Jive Status Page.

    Note: If no major outage took place around the same time as you experienced the email delivery issue, it may have been a temporary problem that was proactively fixed by our infrastructure team. The Jive Team cannot provide Root Cause Analysis for temporary single-customer failures, but we do monitor logs and health status on a continual basis and are always striving to improve availability and performance across all Jive services.
