Overview

This article addresses an issue where, in the Preferences menu, if you select a language, e.g., German, and regardless of whether you choose a value or not for the Locale field, English (United States) is selected by default as auto-correction.

The order for the auto-correct should be:

1. Language from User Preferences. 
2. Language associated with the Locale.
3. English (default)
   
   

Environment

• Jive Hosted/On-Premise versions 8.0.2.0 & 9.0.4.0

Root Cause

This issue is due to a defect, as reported in bug ID JVHOPST-1292. 

Resolution

This defect has been fixed in version 9.0.6, hence, to resolve it, perform an upgrade to this version or above.
