Overview

When a user creates and publishes a video from a Group/Space/Project setup for Specific People, the video is still being shared in the group.

Environment

Jive Hosted versions 8.x, 9.0.4, 9.0.5, 9.0.6

Reproduction Steps

1. Create or navigate to a group. 
2. Click Create > Video and select Embed or Upload.
3. Add title and description.
4. Select Specific People and add users.
5. Click Publish.

Current Behavior

The video is still being shared in the group even if it has been set up for specific users.

Expected Behavior

The video should only be shared with specific users.

 

Solution Update

This issue was identified as a defect, and a fix was released in the Jive HOP version 9.1.0.3, with fix id JVHOPST-7014 merged later into JVHOPST-14716.
 

Process

Workaround

While a fix is set to be released, you may apply the workaround for the meantime:

To publish videos to Specific People, create it from the Home/News page rather than doing it from Space/Group/Project.

 

Confirmation

The video should now be shared to users set up under Specific People only.
